Just Dance!

Last week for home evening, we went to a street dance that was part of Springville's World Folkfest. In the parking lot of the art museum, dancing groups from different countries took turns teaching everyone a traditional dance or two, and then we joined in dancing with them.  We had fun dancing alongside Croatians, Puerto Ricans, Spaniards, and lots of others!

Ward Camping Trip

For the last weekend in July, we had our 1st Annual Ward Camping Trip!  It was Olympics-themed because it happened the night of the opening ceremonies.  There was a good turnout and we had a blast!

We enjoyed hanging around before the evening's activities:

Then we divided into our teams for the "Opening Ceremonies":

Team Black:  "Bringing Sexy Black"

Team Yellow:  "The Police"

Team Red:  "Red Eyes"

Team Blue:  "The Blue Bullets"

Team Green:  "Mighty Ducks"

Then we competed in 3 different events:  tug-of-war, 3-legged-race, and the human knot.

We were also judged on skits that we prepared and presented as teams:

Afterwards, we enjoyed chilling around the campfire and eating s'mores:

After a pleasant night under the stars, we had breakfast, packed up, and headed home to good ol' Provo:

Summer Fun

What a great summer we've had!  A while back, our very own Lauren Bangerter and Todd Wilde graduated from the ward (aka they got married).  Some of us went to help them celebrate:

We also had a fun home evening activity at the Robinsons' home:

Last week, our Institute closing social was pretty rocking (literally).  We had a talent show barbecue at President Samuelian's home:

Hoofbeats Service Activity

Earlier this summer (June 2 to be exact), our ward joined forces with another ward in the stake to perform service at a place called Hoofbeats to Healing.  They provide a therapeutic horse riding service - click here to check out their website!

Sister Wilson wasn't afraid to help out!
