And Here Are Our Hosts Bob and Bob:
Tyler Mower and Ben Haymond were our hosts for the evening (AKA Bob and Bob), but little did we know that the Bobs had many faces, as seen from these series of pictures.
They also got really enthusiastic about their roles as Bob. The first up on the program was Kelsie Everson, sorry that I didn't get a picture of you. She did a fabulous job on her guitar. She sang a song about the Death of a Salesman. We then had Nathan Oaks and Grant Myres doing a sea shanty and a duel between a violin and a recorder. It was quite fun.
From there we got the special treat of hearing Jacob Selman serenade us with his fabulous piano skills. He performed a nice montage of several songs that were anything from pop songs to classical pieces. It was truly a treat to listen to.
Justyne Willets then gave us the privilege of hearing some of her original work, along with letting us see her fabulous baking skills. The chocolate ganache cake with raspberry filling and butterflies was wonderful to eat and to look upon. The song itself was also fabulous, much like the cake. It was extremely nice to listen too and left everyone happy.
Next up was Josh Guerrero and his fabulous singing voice. He was accompanied by Dan McIntosh and had some help from Jacob Selman in turning pages. Josh blew the house away with his piece. I hope that if you didn't get a chance to hear him at the Talent Show then you at least heard him in Sacrament meeting where he sang in a quartet.
The two goofballs of the ward were next. Dan McIntosh and David Wilde played a guitar and piano piece in which they had their own lyrics and a movie to go along with the song. It was all about our times in the ward and brought a tear to many an eye.
Our last official performance was done by Sheridan Merkley, Brittany Richards, Josh Guerrero, and Heath Sanford. I know that my pictures did not do this skit justice, so look for the video off of the Facebook page. They did a fabulous job and it was so funny to watch them. It was like watching Who's Line is it Anyways? all over again.
We then had a little surprise for Bro. Lee. We were told that he was going to give us a solo, so we got him up on stage.
We couldn't let him sing alone though, so Bro. Hubert was invited to come up on stage also.
But then we were leaving Bishop out of the loop, so up he came on stage.
But the Bishopric didn't think this was very fair, so it turned into a whole entire Priesthood musical number. The boys all did a very good job with a Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief.
It was then time to say who won the dessert competition. The Lee kids were very gracious in announcing that Nick Jones won with his bean empanadas. Thanks to the participants of the food competition and our judges for making it fun. Nick walked away with a pretty nice water gun and managed to get the girls before they got him.
Also thanks to Rachel May, Michelle Hagfeldt, and Matea Trevino in their contribution to the art section of the Talent Show. They all did a fabulous job.
