Service love is in the air!

Fall has official been underway for some time now, causing leaves to fall and hearts to soar. Service dates have really been picking up, as a few couples have even spent their time together browsing expensive jewelery.
One of the more attractive couples, pictured above, was curtis and katie. They donned their swimming suits and hit the pool for a fun filled day of swim lessons. I am happy to report that they were successful in not letting a single child drown.
Service has always been a big part of david's (23, from northern virgina) and mallory's (occupation unknown) lives. From a young age, both had aspired to one day lead a shift at the deseret industries. That dream came true for them because of the service dates program. For one hour on a saturday afternoon, david and mallory got into the zone, the service zone that is, and unloaded donations to be sold.

Trace Farmer and Megan Fogg: the quintessential american couple. You know how the story goes, boy meets girl, girl falls hard, boy tries to resist, but all is futile. Next thing you know, they are off together giving manicures to retirees at Jamestown, followed by an afternoon of getting a free shirt from the jewelery store. Yes, that should be a movie.

Service committee takes early lead for committee of the semester sweepstakes

In a recent poll, the service council has jumped out to a commanding lead for the prestigious council of the semester award, previously held by the activities council. "We just want everyone to realize that the ward theme can apply to them and to discover that through losing themselves in service," says Todd Wilde, one of the council co-chairs. Well sometimes while losing yourself, you find someone who can make your life even better! A recent service council initiative know as "service dates" (not to be confused with pity dates) has really made a huge impact on a couple of lives.

Randy Gilliland and Krista Ahlstrom came together for a friday evening of flirty box decorating. Project uplift is a program designed to brighten the holidays for those men and women selflessly giving of themselves to serve in the armed forces. The cute couple decorated the packages that will be sent across the seas to these service men and women. The response was enthusiastically positive. If anyone wants to participate in project uplift just make a stop at the Y serve office in the wilkinson center.
